We all have a spiritual dimension to our being. Our concept of God, or a higher being, is necessarily limited by our understanding of ourselves.

As we develop our understanding of psychological theories, and what they might offer us with regard to how we are in the world, this understanding can also affect us at the spiritual level of our being.

God’s grace works with the person that we are, at whatever stage of development we operate from. As any small change within a system affects the whole, so too, any change within our emotional, intellectual and psychological dimension necessarily effects some change within our spiritual dimension and enhances our capacity for God. This enhanced capacity opens us up to the leading of God in our lives and involves our listening and response to that leading. It also leaves us with the question of what we do with that extended capacity. Any new learning or growth in skills can open up a new vista of understanding.

These small one day courses, offered at the end of each theoretical course, are designed to develop further reflection on the effect of that particular theory on our relationship with God.

The invitation is to spend time alone and with others reflecting and sharing some of the questions that may arise from these reflections.

During the course there will be time for silence, personal reflection and sharing.

You will be encouraged to use your skills with one another to listen to and reflect back your understanding of what you are hearing from each other.
