About Supervision

 

Why Supervision?

Supervision can be offered to professional people (e.g. nurses, teachers, managers, social workers, people in support roles) and many other spheres of work.

 

All counsellors need supervision as part of their normal way of working. This makes sure they are reflecting on their work in accordance with the guidelines that professional counselling bodies set out.

 

Supervision is a process whereby professional people can:-

 

 

 

 

What happens in Supervision?

Those who feel the need to reflect on their work, on a regular basis, meet with a trained supervisor about once a month. The supervisor will provide a warm, understanding and challenging environment which is confidential and external to the workplace so that perspectives can be explored. A session normally lasts about sixty to ninety minutes.

 

What does it cost?

Supervision sessions cost fifty pounds.
